Crafters, carvers for lighted pumpkins and volunteers are being called to begin thinking about what theme they would like their pumpkins to represent for the Third Annual Oktoberfest.
This event will be held October 17th and 18th, 2009 at Bangor Memorial Park. The carved pumpkins will be lighted and displayed throughout the popular train ride. Food, Crafts, & Vendors, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin carving, face painting, hay rides & Best Pie Contest on Sunday.

Interested parties should call Janet Miller (610-588-3434) with the names of their carved pumpkins which could range from comic figures, presidents, nature or any other images that lend themselves well to carving.
Miller states this advance notice should give people more time to be thinking of themes and crafts. She hopes this year's display will be bigger and better than last year's and encourages more people to participate. Look to this website for additional information as the event nears.
